Biography

Born in Seoul, Korea, Dasom Choi is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, and media designer. She studied handicraft art in Korea until her junior year when she went to the U.S. to study. She first studied Graphic design but then changed her major to Painting. Now, she studies Painting and Motion media design with a minor in Sculpture. She also does various activities during her vacation, such as collaborating with sound artists. So far, she has completed three solo exhibitions and is planning another one. She combines digital media with her fine art background to produce interesting results. She explores the boundaries between reality and unreality and never stops working. Her versatile style can be applied to markets ranging from stage, performance, interactive art, motion media, and visual branding.

 

She takes videos and pictures for her work. She is always challenging herself with her work.  Her hobbies are studying material, walking around with a camera, and playing with a cat.
